Smoothies are a great way to start your day, but we don’t always have time for all that slicing and dicing, and then there’s the clean up :/ Solution: Make-ahead, ready-to-go, no fuss, no muss smoothie cubes – the ultimate morning time-saver hack that will elevate your morning routine and your wellness to a whole new level!
What you need:
• Ice cube trays: I recommend the large cube flexible trays typically used for cocktails (whiskey cubes).
• Smoothie ingredients: I recommend making several recipes at once so you have some variety to choose from during the week.
Prep:
Blend up your smoothie ingredients (except protein powder if using) using less liquid than you normally would (approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup) and simply pour into your ice cube tray and freeze overnight. Once frozen you can pop out the cubes and store in a ziplock freezer bag for up to 1 month.
Method:
Put 3 smoothie cubes in blender and add liquid of choice (start with 1/4 cup and increase if needed to reach desired consistency). Blend and enjoy. That’s it!
